Send bugs to Jira from a video

Connect Jira Cloud

In the app, open Integrations → Jira. Use Atlassian OAuth or an API token (site URL, email, token). Pick a default project key if you have one. Test the connection. Secrets stay on the server, not in your JWT.

Linear and GitHub Issues are the same idea on their tabs if that is your tracker.

Mark the video first

Do not push an empty session. Highlight bugs on the timeline, draw when needed, set status. Skip bugs that already have a Jira key — EveryBug will skip them on push.

What gets attached

A parent task can carry the session video and a PDF. Each selected bug becomes a sub-task with a time-window clip, an annotated still, and your description. Cap is 50 bugs per push. The job is async — poll until complete.

CSV export remains if you cannot connect Jira or you use Server/DC instead of Cloud.

From recording to Jira

  1. 1. Upload or open the session Put the recording in a project you can access. Confirm duration plays (WebM is remuxed when ffmpeg is available).
  2. 2. Mark bugs on the timeline Start/end, description, optional drawing. Stay on the list during a high-volume bash.
  3. 3. Connect Jira (once) Integrations → Jira → OAuth or API token. Choose the project key.
  4. 4. Push selected bugs Reports → Send to Jira. Select bug IDs, confirm parent summary. Wait for the job. Keys persist on the bugs.

Can I send bugs to Jira from a video for free?

Yes. EveryBug is free. You still need a Jira Cloud site you are allowed to write to. CSV is the no-OAuth fallback.

Can live-bash guests push to Jira?

No. Organizers (signed-in users) push from the findings board or the session. Guests file; organizers export.
